Hopes have been expressed recently in relation to thoroughbred racing returning to Victoria Park. I believe this should happen as it is necessary that we have two metropolitan racecourses in South Australia.
For 125 years Victoria Park was a successful venue for the sport.
I believe the racing public would be supportive of some meetings being held at Victoria Park again.
Whilst it is accepted that Morphettville is an outstanding racing complex, it becomes monotonous going there every week.
Surely the Adelaide City Council, the SA Government and the South Australian Jockey Club can implement a plan whereby the development of a new racetrack becomes a reality.
