Twenty-three steeplechase starts for 16 wins and five seconds is the amazing record of Kauto Star over fences.
I hope Lawrence Pope and his unemployed watched Kauto Star win his fourth consecutive King George steeplechase. Tell me this horse does not enjoy jumping. As Bert Bryant once said of Crisp: "He took off on Friday and landed on Sunday."
This champion is now on his way to a third Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The excitement continues to build as the great jumpers of Ireland and England prepare for another season. Bring on Cheltenham and Aintree.
