While it seems churlish to quibble over the excellent coverage of Victorian racing on Racing.com I do lament the disappearance of Adam Crettenden and Terry Bailey from on-camera presentations and interviews.
If the various imports lack anything, they lack personality, with a tendency to sound mechanical, especially when it comes to their “go-to” question: “Do you think it will get over more ground?”
David Gately irritates me and only seems to “fire up” for quality horseflesh.
I miss the enthusiasm of Crettenden and Bailey and their viewer-friendly interviews. While I value the clarity of their race calling, I feel their talents are under-used.
