Winning Post is normally very good when it comes to obituaries on high-profile racing people but I was disappointed the great trainer Rick Hore-Lacy received only a passing mention in your publication.
I appreciate he was a “colourful character”, which means he had his deficiencies, but he was a remarkable contributor to the racing industry. He trained more than 20 Group 1 winners including future successful stallions like Redoute’s Choice, Canny Lad, Clay Hero, Toorak Toff and Dash For Cash.
