Marg was one of those genuine country trainers who are the heart and soul of country racing. She was based in Gippsland, at Bairnsdale, for more than 30 years, training many horses over the time. She took on many tasks at the Bairnsdale track and was the Winning Post correspondent for the Gippsland region.

Marg was the type of person that all racing depends upon. She was a humble servant who was not in racing for the glory or riches, only for the love of the horses she trained.

Racing is the poorer for losing people of Marg’s calibre as they are very hard to find.
