What an inspiration to hear the champion jumps jockey Jamie Evans has got back on his horse.
Listening to Radio Sport 927 last Thursday morning made me realise just how much of a problem alcohol and drug issues have become, not only for the youth but for all generations.
To hear what Jamie had gone through, and how he is now deeply determined to stay on top, has shown me that no hurdle is too big.
That he is now wanting to put his story out to up-and-coming jockeys and anyone else that wants to listen and be inspired shows his passion for coping with an incurable but manageable disease one day at a time.
