Times don't lie
I freely admit that I am not a racing expert. But I can analyse figures.
The UK galloper Frankel is described as the best galloper in the world ever. Not so, on his times.
The mighty 1970s US racehorse Secretariat has run infinitely faster times than Frankel at his best distance of one mile (about 1600m).
Frankel’s best time at the distance is in the order of 1:37.3. Secretariat ran 1:33.4 for the same distance. More than 20 lengths faster than the "best horse in the world" today!
All hail Secretariat.
